Capitol I.T. Solutions, Inc. (CITS) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) located in Germantown, Maryland. CITS provides Information Technology Solutions, Cybersecurity and Scientific Research Support and Consulting Services to the Federal Government, Department of Defense (DoD) and Commercial Businesses.
Established in 2000, the CITS founders, Mr. Marc Johnson and Mr. Kenneth Wood, had just completed travel around the world securing computer systems at our Embassies and Consulates for the United States Department of State. This global task provided invaluable experience on how to effectively and successfully plan, manage and deliver first class engineering and consulting services to clients no matter where they are and the ability to overcome extraordinary circumstances that come from working in remote and austere locations. CITS has taken this experience and set out to provide top quality service and innovative design to assist its clients in accomplishing their corporate mission.
The president of (CITS), Mr. Marc Johnson, is a US Navy and Persian Gulf War (1991) Veteran. He is a Senior Systems Engineer with over 2 decades of experience designing, testing and deploying information technology solutions to clients. Mr. Johnson also has a master’s degree in Cybersecurity and is very active in the Cybersecurity community.
The Vice President of CITS, Mr. Ken Wood, is an aerospace engineer and graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is a Senior Systems Engineer with over 2 decades of experience in secure network and systems architecture. Before working in the IT field, Mr. Wood worked on the Navy’s E-2C Hawkeye program, re-engineering aging systems for upgrade or retrofitting for carrier operations. Mr. Wood also works in 3D modeling and 3D printing/rapid prototyping of parts and devices in the robotics industry.
